Need to replace my 20+ yr. old Hayward 1 HP Max Flo motor (humming and sometimes won’t start). As long as I will have it taken apart, should I do anything to the pump (replace seals?)? What are my options for replacement motors? The pump section is the one that came with the Max Flo motor, I don’t see any markings so I have attached a photo. Please let me know exactly what I need to purchase?
Hello JMK500 - The replacement motor for your 1HP Hayward Max-Flo is model UST1102. The seals should be replaced when you replace the motor. The seal kit for a standard chlorine pool is GOKIT1 and the kit for salt water is GOKIT1SALT.
