I recently purchased a replacement filter set for my Sta Rite filter. I have always used genuine Sta rite filters but I did not pay attention while making the purchase this past time. The filters look the same but I am curious about the quality; after installing the new filters I expected the psi to drop from ~ 10 psi to 8-9 psi…but the pressure increased to 12psi. I did not change anything else…not the pump speed…nothing…
The old Sta Rite filters are approximately 6-7 years old…I am using a Pentair VSR pump set at 2,300 rpm.
