Aqua Rite issue

Hoping for a little guidance.  I have an Aqua-Rite system with a t-15 cell.  The cell is 1 year old and cleaned regularly.  I noticed yesterday that my pool was starting to change colors.  Went out today to see what’s up and my generator system was not acting right.  First thing I did was get a sample tested at the pool store.  Said my salt was at 2700.  I went home and pitched salt to bring it up to 3200.  I also cleaned and inspected the cell.  Now that I had the base starting point, then I could move onto documenting the problem. (can’t calibrate the salt until the system is working.)

My issue is that the display is working, but it had no LEDs lit at all.  So, I power cycled my pool breaker, and it came on.  Power ON, and No Flow ON, then flashing as the pump primed.  Then, all LEDs go out and won’t come back on regardless of switch position (off, auto, super chlorinate). So, I power cycle the breaker again.  This time, same thing, but I timed it.  90s after startup the LEDs go out and only way to get them back is to power cycle pool main.  Repeated it, same result.   Never seen this one before.

I cycle through the diagnostics:  2700, 78, 9.6, 0.00, 72p, -0, AL-0, r1.55, t-15, 2700

Guidance appreciated.

Hello Kristina - Thank you for contacting Inyo. It sounds like you might be having issues with your main circuit board. The first thing I would look at is the current limiter on the main board. It is a round black disk. I’ve circled the current limiter in the picture below. If that piece is damaged in any way, the circuit board will malfunction. The part can be replaced and soldered into place or you can replace the entire board.

If that piece looks ok, you’ll need to look a little deeper. Check out the Aquarite Troubleshooting manual.
