Aquarite display reads 2600 regardless of how much salt is added. The actual salt content is 5700 due to adding salt to raise the level. Check salt flashes I assume because reading is low. Tried recalibrating and instant content reads 2600 but sometimes will start out at 3000 and then go to 0. Cleaned cell with muratic acid and restarted but same readings. Chlorine level is high so I assume it is still producing? Is this a cell or board replacement?
I assume I will need to drain 1/3 of the pool and replace the water?
The cell had it’s 3rd birthday on August 27, 2019. Drained less than 1/2 of pool and replaced water. Salt level now reads 1400 but had it tested and is acutually 3300. I assume it will not produce salt with readings this low. We have been running a T-9 cell 70% 24 hours/day on a 22000 gal inground. Should I upgrade to a T-15 or replace the T-9? I realize I will have to change the program from a T-9 to a T-15. If so, how should I adjust the output control for the T-15?
Thank you again and look forward to hearing from you.
The T-9 is designed for pools up to 25k gallons. You are pushing the limits of that cell by using it on a 22k pool. A T-15 cell would be more appropriate. I would start it at 50% and adjust accordingly.
You can test the sensor by unscrewing it and squeezing the two prongs together so they touch. Hold them together for a minute or so and see if the no flow light goes away. If it does, the flow sensor is good and there is an actual issue with the flow. If the no flow light stays on, the sensor is likely bad.
