Hello. Please confirm the 5270-36 and 5270-31 bearings and the gokit3 salt are the correct bearings and kit for my Hayward Northstar SP4015X20NS pump with an A.O. Smith motor SP1615ZMNSC. It is a salt water pool. Thank you.

GOKIT3 would not be the correct kit. The GOKIT3 is for a Hayward Super Pump. How old is your Northstar pump? This will help us determine the correct shaft seal.
Thanks for the reply…not sure how old it is, the label is very worn. I would guess 7+ years.
We only have a GOKIT for Northstar pumps manufactured 2003 and prior. You can view all of the available items for Northstar pumps manufactured since 2008 on our parts page.
I believe it is safe to say it was manufactured around 2008. 2003 would be too far back. I’m not sure if I should be buying the PS4280 seal or the SPX4000SA2. If I’m going through the proccess of replacing the bearings, I’d like to go ahead and do anything else that should be done at the same time. In addition to the 5270-36 and 5270-31 bearings, what else do you recommend? Thanks again for the help, I’d like to place the order today. The squeeling bearings are driving us nuts!
