What size capacitor do I need for a Hayward Northstar (A O Smith) 1.5 hp full rated motor

Do you happen to have a list of what capacitor goes to what motor? Are they not standard to their motor?

There are a number of different motors and each may have a specific capacitor for it. The best way to identify the correct capacitor is to take the information right off of the capacitor.

I saw the vid, but was hoping that there would be a list of capacitors used for specific motors. I have customers calling and asking, and the ease of a list would halp. If there isn’t one, then it is what it is:-(

Hello PoolNut - We were able to pull a 1.5HP full rated Hayward Northstar motor and inspect the specifications on the capacitor. That is how we matched it up with a replacement.

I am trying to determine the correct capacitor for C55 cxkmb-5012 made by US motors. It is a 1081 pump.

Thanks for any assistance. I may have to replace motor, but hums now, so ruling things out.
