Century Vlink Freeze Protection

I recently had my Century variable speed motor outfitted with a Vlink module to allow us to control it through the app on my phone.  I normally would have done it myself but my wife wanted to surprise me and had it done by a pool company that is since gone.  Now I’m left with a product that actually works very well except, 2 weeks ago the temperature dropped to 48 degrees and I woke up to find the Freeze protection cycle running.  Freeze protection was set on 35 degrees.  It repeated the next morning with similar temps.  I have repeated contacted Vlink customer support and get a form letter with no follow up.  Can anyone help me troubleshoot this problem???  Thanks in advance
