chlorinator will not produce

I have a goldin/hayward salt generator hooked up to a RS 8 Jandy.  They are about 14 years old.

The chlorinator (confirmed by store as working) will only generate when I put the system into service mode.  Also store says salt is 2700, system says 3600.  When I switch the system back into auto on the jandy the chlorantor stops working.  The system in auto WILL do superchlorinate when I turn it on, just wont produce chlorine in normal auto mode.

This is in auto mode…amps drop to 0…

Thoughts?

When in automatic mode, the T-Cell is pulling zero amps probably due to the fact that the percentage output ‘0p’ is at zero.  With a zero demand for chlorine output then the T-Cell will not be energized and will not draw amperage.  Also, the instant salt reading -0 will not indicate that the T-Cell is detecting any salt in the water since it is not energized.  Check the LED on the Aqua Rite marked Remotely Controlled.  This should flash when in Service mode or time-out mode.  It should illuminate solid when the Aqua Link RS activates the Aqua Rite to produce chlorine.
