I have had a compupool salt generator for several years without any problems. This year however at start up the salt level read <2500 PPM low salt. I have added salt and the test strip reads 4200 ppm. Whenver I start the unit and it goes through the verify and test mode I can view chorline being generated but after the test mode is finished it still displays <2500 PPM. After a short time either the add salt or water fault light will come on and there is no chlorine production. I soaked and cleaned the cell unit with muriatic acid but the problems still exist and water flow is not an issue. Where would you guess the problem is, the cell unit or the control unit? Thanks for any help you can offer.

What you have explained is a sign that the Main Compupool PCB Board is bad, unfortunately, Compupool went out of business and these boards are no longer available. I would suggest a complete new salt system like the PureLine Crystal Pure Salt Chlorine Generator
