I have a 16x52 intel pool. We just opened it and I can’t get it remotely clear. It’s filthy. I can’t get a vacuum to work though I upgraded the pump last year. The intake seems very weak (always has). I added a skimmer but it hasn’t really helped.

I dont want to drain it and start from scratch if I don’t have to. I had a really hard time keeping it clean last year as well. There was always very fine dirt on the bottom.

The Intex pools typically come with a very small cartridge. You’ll probably have to clean the cartridge several times a day until the pool clears up. Also, keep an eye on the chlorine level and try to keep it between 2-4 ppm.
