Hello:

we have an inground 15 yr old plaster pool.

i have noticed what looks like white sand in the Polaris. I have asked others and no one seems to know what it is. Does anyone know what it may be or what is causing it?

The “white sand” material could be caused by one of the following scenarios.

  • The pool plaster could be eroding.
  • Sand from a sand filter.
  • The wind blew sand into the pool.
  • Calcium flakes have broken up into small pieces.
