Purcahsed a PL 2854 on 7/14/2018 and was installed on 4/7/2019. My order number 875837 from INYOPools.com
Once everything was hooked up with water in the pump I turned the unit on to hear a start of the motor and then immediately shutting down. This is a 115 v system so I followed the diagram on the outside of the motor to convert from 230 to 115. I opened the back panel to view wire to confirm that I had it conected properly. All was connected properly. I placed the electrical cover back on the motor to again do the same thing. I then check to see if there was anythiing stopping the propellar from moving even thou it pushed water to my filter tank before it shut down after perhap 3 seconds of it trying to start.
This is a brand new motor that I purcashed just incase I needed a back up last year as I felt as if my prior motor I purchased from you folks back on 10/9/2010 was perhaps going bad. This motor was reeplacing a Whisper flow 1.5 HP 115 unit. I need your help to resolve so it doesnt cost me additional money and time.
I have a question as to removal of the propellar, How do you get it off this motor as there is ona flat head screw on the shaft that does not give you any leverage to remove.
I have since purcashe on SUnday a new propellar and difusser thinking that that could be a problem, I guess I’m just wasting money but would rather have the parts now as I’m trying to get my pump and running.
