When my sytem turns off at night the display reads hot and the generating light is flashing. The water temp is fine. Cell has already been replaced. During the day when it’s running everything is fine. What can the problem be?
“HOT” and generating flashes certainly indicates a problem. The first thing to check is the temperature of the body of water independently of the AquaRite and the T-Cell, but it’s also good to check the temperature that the cell is feeding back to the AquaRite by pressing the diagnostic button once. The second thing to do after checking the water temp is to reset the AquaRite. Switch the unit “off”, unplug the cell from the box, then wait three minutes. Now plug in the cell securely, set the unit to “Auto”. The unit should now function normally. If the problem then persists and the temp on the screen reads ridiculously high (180 degrees F or more) and the water temperature is not high then this indicates a fault in the main circuit board. If the temperature on the screen is really high (105 degrees F or greater) and the water temp is not, then this indicates a failed temp sensor within the T-Cell.
