I have a non-VGB compliant suction cover on our late 1980s in-ground spa which is Hayward part SP-1027-A in white. I’d like to order a replacement cover that screws into the existing hole. What do you have that will work? Thank you.
For those looking at replacements to the SP1027, the Waterway 6" Ultra Suction with 1-1/2" Threaded Wall Fitting 640-8240 V is VGB compliant and works well.
Interestingly, my in-ground pool main drain had a SP1027-B version originally. I found parts of the cracked .cover in the main drain pipe and a piece still had the part number on it. Even though my main drain is currently plugged/winterized for the last decade or more, for safety I’m replacing the cover with a VGB-compliant Waterway 1.5" threaded cover in case the plug ever comes out. It is the only VGB cover that I’ve found which will fit the original main drain for my pool.
