Just purchased a new Hayward sand filter pump, for my above ground pool . Installed sand to the required line , backwashed system, next ran clean until the sight glass was clean. Turned pump on & had great flow . Started vacuuming pool out lost outlet pressure, cleaned both baskets skimmer & pump, have good pressure at gauge,pump pulling water at skimmer, but no outlet pressure or low outlet pressure, no leaks ,backwashed again, still no pressure, please help ty steve
There may be air trapped in your filter tank. Make sure the valve is in the filter position and run the pump for a few minutes. The air should work itself out of the tank and you should see normal flow from the jets.
