We changed the sand for the first time in our pool and now we are unable to get the multiport valve back down in the sand filter. One side will go down but the other side lacks about a half inch. Can you please give us some advice on what we may be doing wrong? Thank you.

Is it possible the lateral assembly was not sitting completely flush in the tank prior to filling with sand or there was sand underneath the lateral assembly causing it to sit higher? Could you post a few photos to this thread as this would help us try to troubleshoot the issue?
