I am trying to replace a failed Pentair 2hp pump for my above ground pool. Pentair customer service was no help in finding me an upgraded pump option as my old pump is discontinued. The critical issue is that the power for my pump is a 220v plug- (like your clothes dryer), and all of the pump options I am finding that are suitable for my application (dynamo, etc.) are all 110 (standard 3-prong plugs) for 115v pumps. Local pool stores have been no help and actually seem to be flabbergasted that my old pump was a 220v.
