Need to replace an old light

Hello. Just pulled my Purex pool light. Info I can get is as follows:  number 426126 (not sure if first number is missing) Model 100-5LW  LampR 40 Forming shell No.425

Could you let me know what could replace this light? Need the brighest or even an LED version if that is a possibility. Thankyou.

We’d be glad to assist you. Is the light 12v or 120v? How many feet of cord will you need with the new light fixture? The cord has to be long enough to run back to the junction box.

not even 15 feet to the juction box

Light was 120 V

no transformer. Has to be at least 25 years old

The incandescent replacement option would be the Pentair Amerlite model 78448100. That is a 400w 120v light with a 50’ cord. That light would be bright enough for a 40’ long pool with a light-colored surface. Click Here to View More Details on the Pentair Amerlite

The LED version would be the Colorsplash model LPL-F2C-120-30-P. That is a color-changing 120V light with a 30’ cord. Click Here to View More Details on the Colorsplash LED Light
