Out With The Old & In With The New

Need a little help here on selection.  My old single speed pool pump and motor is closing in on it’s end of life usage.  Can you help me with the correct equipment you sell as options.  My pool is a standard 20 x 40 inground without any water features holding anywhere from 40,000 to 46,000 gallons of water.  My local Leslie’s says it’s 46,000.  My Hayward Aqua Plus controller can handle single, dual, or VS speed pump motors.

Pump → Pentair SuperFlo P/N 340039

Motor → HP 1.5, SF 1.1, SF HP 1.65

Presently, I’m running my pool 12 hrs a day, which seems to be doing just fine.  My goal is to replace with any energy efficient model and do not mind running it 24/7 or what ever if the savings are there.

Thank you in advance for your replies!

Hello Randrball1 - If your current 1.65 total HP pump was sufficient, I would recommend staying with something with a similar output. We’d recommend the Pureline Prime PL2605. This is a 1.65 total HP variable speed pump.

Your Aqua Plus can turn the pump on and off but all the programming would be done at the pump.
