I have an 8yr old Pentair Intelliflo Variable Speed 3HP pump (011018) and the display is nearly impossible to read. This is apparently a common problem and the display itself cannot be replaced. The pump works fine until/if the power goes out and the time/programing is lost. Otherwise, it runs perfectly fine.
Is it worth ~$800 to replace the drive assembly on an 8yr old pump/motor? Or is it a better investment to replace the entire pump at $1300? I probably will own this pool for at least another 8 years or more.
Any Insight/Comments?
