How to get thr top of the pentaire cc200 to fit on bottom
The lid for the model Pentair CC200 cartridge filter is held to the base/bottom by a locking ring. You can view that and the rest of the filter parts by clicking here.
The trouble Is I can’t get it over the O ring,so the locking ring will lock
Sounds like you have purchased a new lid and are trying to use it with an older base. If so, the base may have contracted over time due to the pressure changes in the filter. Or you may want to look into another replacement o ring as another one may be a little thinner. Also, be sure the pressure relief valve is open on the top of the filter lid as that may help release any air pressure while attempting to install.
