Should I shut the heater off an hour prior to the pump shutting down? Wouldn’t allow the heater components to coll down. Recently a pool guy told me that it didn’t matter. He said, if the pool pump shuts down, the heater would get a LO indicator and shut down also. This doesn’t sound correct.
The new heaters don’t retain heat like the older models. It isn’t necessary to turn them off before the pump turns off.
