Hello,

I bought a replacement motor for the A.O. Smith 2 HP Full Rated North Star do I nned any seals replaced that do not come with the motor?

Hello JohnP1188,

The seals do not come with the motor, so I would recommend you replace the seals when changing out the motor. The age of your Northstar Pump is the deciding factor.

Here is a link to the Hayward Northstar 1998 to 2007 Parts page. The Tune Up Kit Hayward Northstar 4000 Series Pumps (Pre-2003) - GOKIT66 would be the recommended seal kit for that pump series.

Here is a link to the Hayward Northstar Pump, 2008 to Current Parts list. There is not a Tune Up Kit available for this pump series. You would need to purchase the different seals and o-rings separately.
