Pool Motor Replacement

Hello,

I seek your advice.

I have an old 1.5 H.P Century Centurion Pool Motor that has finally died.

Part # 10.182261-04   RPM 3450        Type CX

I need to decide to replace wither the motor as a

Ø  One Speed

Ø  A Variable Speed

Ø  Or replace the entire setup with a variable speed.

What are my options and what are the costs?

What is the advantages and disadvantages, as well as costs, between a PureLine Pure Flow Variable Speed and a Jacuzzi Variable Speed System?

Thank you.

Hi Loudin,

My suggestion would be to replace with an entire PL1615 PureLine Pure Flow Variable Speed Pump. The reason being is that the cost is going to be the same as just replacing the motor and you will get an entire new pump and motor. I like the PureLine pump as the pricing is quite a bit better than the Jacuzzi pump and I think it is as good or if not better, the PureLine also comes with a full 1 Year warranty.

Thank You

Patrick
