I have a 20 year old jacuzzi pool pump. I am looking to replace it. It looks like carvin is making the pumps now.
I’m wondering if it’s worth the cost to replace it with the same pump or upgrade to a vs pump. I haven’t seen very many positive reviews for pentair or hayward especially if you install it yourself.
I think the model number on my pump is 94028140. The tag is worn off pretty well.

Carvin is now manufacturing some of the older Jacuzzi products. Replacing your single speed pump with a variable speed pump can be beneficial. You can reference our VARIABLE SPEED PUMP resources.
Most manufactures highly recommend that their pumps be professionally installed by trained technicians to avoid installation errors, injuries etc. without the proper knowledge of the product.
I was unable to use the model number provided to determine the which Jacuzzi pump you have. Please upload pictures of the pump housing and the motor label.
