Does the brand of the pool pump and filter have to match? We currently have a proline filter and pump and someone is telling me we cannot replace the pump without changing out the filter as well. Any help would be appreciated.
I don’t see why the pump and filter need to be from the same manufacturer. The filter need water flow to work and should not care which manufacturer produced the pump assuming the pump and filter are size properly.
