My pool recently got low on water and ran dry for a while. The basket just before the pump melted a little and the pump is leaking. You can see at the top of the picture the pipe that goes from the pump to the filter is leaking. I called a pool guy who said he could fix it for $75. Could I fix this myself for cheaper?
Hello Chris - Thank you for contacting Inyo. Yes, you can fix this for a couple dollars. All you’ll need is a male pipe threaded fitting for your discharge, teflon tape, a sleeve, pvc glue, and some pvc pipe.
