I would like to replace our Hayward Super Pump self-priming, Model c48k2n143b1 with a Hayward Variable Speed Pump at I HP or 2HP or whichever you recommend. The pool is 20X40 and holds 22,600 gallons.

If you want to replace the motor and keep your existing housing, you could use part number ECM16CU. That is a 1.65HP variable speed motor. Click Here to View the ECM16CU variable speed motor
If you decide to replace the motor, we recommend replacing the seals. The seal kit is GOKIT3. Use GOKIT3SALT if you have salt water.
