I have a Vgreen pump EMCU16CU I installed on my Hayward body in June and used the saltwater tune up kit. Absolutely no issues with this and has run great and continues to run great but now have a leak somewhere in the housing. I checked the bolts I could get to and all tight. I will be shutting down pool in the next week or so and just want some diagnostic guidance and is the tune up kit under a warranty if that is the problem.
The tune-up kit would not be under warranty. Is it leaking between the motor and seal plate or between the seal plate and housing?
Unfortunately I can’t tell. I will look with my endoscope and see if I can isolate the leak.
If it is leaking between the seal plate and housing, you can open up the pump and lubricate that gasket/o-ring. This may correct the leak. If it is leaking between the motor and seal plate, I’d recommend replacing the shaft seal with a heavy-duty version.
