Pump motor "stuck" to pump

Bought a replacement motor when our pump motor seized. However, everything is so corroded that I cannot remove the old motor from the front of the pump face (I don’t know the name of this part, it is where the impeller connected to the pump) I was able to remove the impeller no problem. I actually don’t even know if the motor can be removed, and I don’t know what the name of this pump is. (all stickers, or what is left of them, have fallen off or are so weathered they can’t be read).

I would even consider purchasing a replacement piece for this pump part. I was hoping to be able to replace only the motor and not the entire pump, as that still works fine and I prefer not having to cut pipes.

Any help is appreciated…see pictures below.

It looks like you have an American Products Ultra Flo. Try spraying the bolts with WD-40. After a few minutes, use a rubber mallet and try to knock the plate away from the motor.

The replacement plate is available if you can’t remove the old one. The replacement plate is part number 5106-210.

Thank you,

Yes I tried a spray to loosen it up, but no luck.  Then damaged the plate in trying to pry it off.  So looks like I’ll be buying the replacement piece.

Sorry to hear that. On a plus side, at least the parts are still available.
