Pump Replacement Question

Hello…

I need to replace my pump and I’m trying to find the best option.  My pool is an inground 20x40 freeform with approx 34,000 gallons and 2 inch plumbing.

When first built in 2010 I had a pentair intelliflow variable speed pump (which cost a fortune but the installer included it with my new pool).  That pump sadly only lasted about 6 seasons, and as it died close to the end of the summer I replaced it with an inexpensive Reliant pump and figured I would get as much out of it as possible.  I’m noticing now that the reliant seems to be on its way out.

All my equipment is Hayward so I was thinking the Super II 1.5 HP pump to accomodate the 2 inch plumbing I need, but the reviews have not been terrific, so I thought I would see what you guys think.  Please advise… and thanks in advance for your help.
