Re: Shaft grease for motor replacement

we are out today and I need to go by Home Depot and get this grease that we are out today and I need to go by Home Depot and get this grease that was mentioned in one of the videos about putting on a new motor my motor arrived from in your pools and the seals kit for the Pentair but I don’t know what kind of grease to buy it mentions grease and one of the earlier Motor installation videos. Also from what I understand to replace some of the seals you don’t spray them up with a WD-40 you use a silicone or a non Teflon I don’t know which kind to get for the replacing the seals the rubber seals to keep them pliable. I also have to replace the seal on my filter top. Thank you to anyone who’s around right now that could answer these two questions for me.

You’d want to use a silicone or teflon lubricant on the o-rings & gaskets. Magic Lube makes a good product. You don’t need to lubricate the shaft seal. You can wet the rubber part with some water to help it slide into place.

thank you very very much for thank you very very much for this information it’s greatly appreciated. I just didn’t want to be in the middle of putting the motor on and find out that we needed some grease and we didn’t have and then we have to stop and go to Home Depot so thank you very much for telling me about this. I sure hope I can do this it’s kind of intimidating but I’m going to give it a good try before we have to call a pool company.

magic Lube magic Lube is something I can get at Home Depot?

I believe they do have it at Home Depot.

we are we are going now thank you very much for being there for me it’s greatly appreciated for what you do.

You’re welcome. Have a great day!

Whoops I am new to this.  Sorry I did not complete this.  I never could find this product, and am still going to try to get it. No one even here on the mainland where we have for years believed just had EVERYTHING I found does not sell this product.  I will try to get it online at a pool store I guess.  Sounds like a good product.
