I've asked parts of this question before, but I needed to clear a few things up. Here is my equipment (old pics)

Looks like I've developed a leak somewhere in the pump. I can't tell exactly where. I do not want to repair this. I feel like once I open it up, it will be one thing after another. I would like to replace it with a setup that includes freeze protection and can connect to a ProLogic system. I currently have an old Hayward Super Pump. I believe the PL2605 would be a recommended replacement, but I have 1.5 inch pipes. I don't think have room for a reducer. That would steer me to using a SP2603VSP since it has 1.5 inch fittings, right? Any thoughts on this?

The Super Pump VS model SP2603VSP would be a good drop-in replacement for your current Super Pump. My only concern would be the plumbing line that runs right over your current motor. Because of the drive on the new motor, you'd have to raise that line up in order for the new pump to fit.

Yeah, I see what you are talking about. That section is kind of a hack job by the person who put in the chlorinator. I can get that fixed. I'll redo the couplers coing out of the pump with some high temp fittings at the same time.
