I am writing because my pool pump is begining to make a high pitched sound. This happens randomly so I am thinking that the bearings are begining to fail or have failed. The pump model number is MPRA6e-147L. I am not sure about the manufacturer as the lable does not indicate one. The motor says it is a 1.25 HP motor and is connected to a 220v circut. The pool is approximately 10,000 gallons. I am consider replacing the pump and installing a variable speed pump. Could you make a recommendation that is not too expensive?
