Salt Cell

I have an Intellichlor IC40 and it has a red light that states there is no flow. Just purchased it at the beginning of the summer. Any thoughts?

Hello Debbie - Thank you for contacting Inyo. The most likely cause is a dirty filter. If you have a sand or de filter, place the valve in the recirculate position and run the pump. If you have a cartridge filter, take the cartridge out and run the system (with the filter top on). If red light turns green, you know the filter was the problem.

Thank you, and will try tomorrow.

I tried tonight and the light went off when it was on recirculate, but I didn’t know how long to leave it on recirculate. When I put it on filter the red light came back on.

If the light went off on recirculate, the filter needs to be cleaned. Take note of the pressure on the filter gauge before you backwash. It should drop after you backwash the filter. This would mean that there is less resistance and the flow would improve. If the pressure does not drop, you may have to replace the filter media.
