salt chlorinator system replacement

I am replacing the Hayward Swimpure T-cell 9 salt chlorinator system on my 16x28 grecian shaped pool (3 ft walk in end and 6 ft deep end). What is the gallon size of this pool (somewhere I have written down 12500 gals)? I want to replace this system with the Pureline system PL7702. Is this system sufficient or should I go with the PL7707?

I am replacing the system because the control panel no longer works, no power indication or display. The panel is approx 11 yrs old but the circuit board was replaced about 18 months ago.

Hi mchazen33,

If your budget can afford it then I would suggest upgrading to the PL7707 PureLine Crystal Pure With a pool salt system you really can’t oversize it. The larger system will mean you can run the salt cell for shorter periods of time meaning you will get longer life out of your salt cell. Also if you ever get into a demanding situation like a bad algae bloom then you can really crank up the chlorine production with the PL7707 as it can produce 2.1 lbs. of chlorine per day when it is at 100% compared to 1.06 lbs. per day with the PL7702. I hope this helps.
