I have a Polaris QT Blower, model number 1-460-02. Been in service for about 13 years. Recently the blower has been turning on by itself, particularly when my pool is operating vs my spa. When it does that, the water billows over the edge and exits the pool.
What I’d like to understand is what is the faulty connection or cause for this? The spa blower itself works fine. There is a toggle switch at the air blower, which has the notation of Carling 80,000 series E60272 LR39145 on-none-off. I have toggled it off and on, so this also seems okay.
At my spa, on the back wall, I have a white push button, which I use to turn it off and on at the spa. I do not see any markings on this - it’s a hexagonal plastic push button, which slides gently in and turns it on, and similarly slides back in to turn it off. It also works well, turning on the spa blower and turning it off.
What’s causing the intermittent switching on of the spa blower??
