Sta-Rite Dura-Glas Pump Upgrade

Hello,

I currently have Sta-Rite Dura-Glas pump with SQ1202 motor installed which I’d like to upgrade to variable speed.

Ideally I was hoping to get VS FloPro™ 2.7 from Jandy with iQPUMP01 automation but those are hard to get without paying extra to the pool companies for a simple install

As Alternative I am looking at option to replace SQ1202 with VGreen 270 and add VLink automation. Will that VGreen pump be an exact match to my current pump and motor? They seem to be both coming from century.

Also I see my pump leaking a bit now so I may need to replace few o-rings and gaskets. What are the other replacement parts I’d better get and replaced during motor upgrade?

Hello Sergey - Yes, you could use the Century V-Green model ECM27SQU on your Sta-Rite Duraglas. The Century V-Link would allow you to control the motor from any smart device.

We’d recommend replacing the seals when you replace the motor. The seal kit for Dura-Glas models manufactured since 1998 is part number GOKIT54. You can use it on older models if the copper cone is removed from the seal plate.

We have a video on how to connect a V-Green motor to a VLink.
