Is it possible to replace the single speed motor on my sta-rite max-e-pro p6e6e-206l with a variable speed motor? The pump is fairly new so is it possible to couple a VS motor to the pump?
The motor name plate says:

A friend of mine did this with his pool pump and I was wondering if it can be done to mine?
