Sta-Rite pump - replace with uprated/variable flow motor

Hi.  I have a Sta-Rite pump P6E6G-208L that recently failed.  Based on forum responses I found on your site to another customer with the same unit I ordered a replacement motor SQ1202 and the corresponding seal kit GOKIT79.  This is an old school full rate motor with 2.6 “total HP”.  My question is - for next time this fails, if I want to replace the motor with a more efficient variable flow/uprated version, which would be the equivalent motor/seals parts that would be a suitable replacement?

The variable speed motor option would be model ECM27SQU. You would use the same seal kit, GOKIT79.
