Hello. I currently utilize a Hayward Northstar SP4015NS pump with a SN1152 single-speed 1-1/2hp motor; 1.6 service factor, 56J frame, etc. Being that I live out here in CommieFornia, I just learned that I can no longer purchase a replacement SN1152 motor (sadly,stuck here another 8 to 10 years before I can get the heck out of this loony state). I am not willing/wanting at this time to spend well over a $grand to have a local pool company install an entire new pump. So, I am wondering if there is a solution in the form of a 2-stage or variable-speed motor that is plug-and-play ready that would slide right into my Northstar unit where no other modifications would need to be made? If so, what would be the recommended unit? BTW, this current set-up also drives my Hayward Navigator pool cleaner.
