Upgrading Pool Pump

My pump is still working after 21 years, but I want to be prepared if it fails. I never had an issue. What are your alternatives/upgrades to the discontinued Hayward Northstar 2 HP pump (SP1615Z1MNSC)? Is it better to replace the motor or get the Hayward Tristar 2 HP pump? I think if I place a concrete block (4") under the Tristar, I can maintain the current PVC configuration. This is what I hear from folks upgrading from the Northstar to a Tristar pump. Can you confirm.

I personally don’t like hawyward especially try star. but I mean you got a long time out of it I get wanting to stick with it. but that being said the next one you get could die in 6 months on you. They kinda just tend to be hit or miss. I’ve been installing a lot of pentair intelleflo motor they or super quiet and you can put it in gallons per minutes and it’ll maintain and stead my flow regardless if your filter gets a little dirty it’ll push harder and vice versus if something gets stuck in it it has a safety cut off feature. So it doesn’t burn up your motor. Just have heard a good bit of feed back about them
