I recently purchaed the Purelie Prime VS 2606 variable speed pump and installed it. No trouble with the installation and it seems to be working very well.
My local power company offers rebates for installing a variable speed pool pump and in the process it asks if the pump was calibrated. It seems that this is basically just a method of determining a minimum run time and speed for the pump to keep the pool clean based on the resistance on the suction and pressure side.
Do you have recomendations for how to go about ‘calibrating’ the variable speed pump for my pool other than findng a minimum flow to turn the pool over about twice per day. The instructions I have found appeared to be concerned with powering a cleaner of some sort for a few hours and otherwise running on a low speed, I do not have an auto cleaner attached for now and just use a brush and a manual pool vacuum so it seems to me my concern should be just filtering the water…
