I want to replace my bad 1.5hp Hayward Super II motor with a VGreen 1.65hp multispeed motor. My pool guy just told me that if set to a lower speed, some lose prime. Is this an issue with this motor? Is there a workaround?

It’s possible that at the lowest speed it could lose prime. The workaround would be to test the VS motor at different speeds and find the minimum working RPM.
