When weighing your steps down, what have found to be the most effective way to do it and also do you use anything special to keep the sand from coming out of the bags. I’ve tried the large ziplock bags but I always seem to get sand in the pool
We hear about these issues with the bags of sand all the time. Most pool owners have had luck filling1-gallon jugs with sand, gravel, or cement. I’ve seen other people fill 3" or 4" pvc pipe and then cap the ends. Either method will weigh down the steps and you don’t have to worry about sand leaking out of the bags.

Those are some great ideas. I especially like the jugs filled with concrete. So easy and inexpensive and can be changed out easily if algae has accumulated on them. Thanks for the input!
