What to do to get pressure

My pool jets want pushing the water hard but then I ran it without the filter. Cartage and it was pushing the water hard again now when o put the filter cartage in it not pushing water hard again what to do

Hello Savage8,

You did all of the work answering the question on this one. Since the filter seems to be the problem, you can try using a Filter Cleaner 1 Qt. - P86099DE that is a degreaser. This will remove organic material stuck in the fibers of the filter. Most cartridge filters need replacement after 1-2 years of use. Once the straps or bands on the cartridge filter break, the flow rate is reduced, or if the filter pressure climbs quickly after cleaning, it is an indicator it is time to replace the cartridge.

Hello Savage8,

I received your message:

"What’s wrong with my pool is that the psi was at 20 and the pump says 50 max and the jets are pushing weak. I decided toclean the filter. I ran the system after removing the cartridge The waterfalland *jetsstarted to push so hard I had to lower the pump speed. After I washed the cartridge and put it together, the flow rate is slow and the pump does not fill water all the way to the top of the basket. What should I do for the pump to push water harderwith the filter in place?"*

Filters can become clogged with body oils and lotions. You cannot rinse these out with a hose. I would recommend using a Filter Cleaner 1 Qt. - P86099DE that is a degreaser. This will remove organic material stuck in the fibers of the filter.

The second thing you mentioned is the pump does not fill up the basket. There could be one of two things causing this issue. First, I would recommend replacing the pump lid o-ring. I would also recommend using a lubricant on this o-ring to create a tighter seal. This should resolve your air leak issue, but if it does not, you may need to contact a pool repair technician. I would suspect you may have an aging motor.

How to get rid of alge that sunk to bottom of pool and comes out as I vacuum it @inyoalan

Hello Savage8,

Algae in your pool is a totally different problem. Algae is a plant growing in your pool. Only brushing and vacuuming the pool will not eliminate the algae growth. It will need to be treated. I strongly recommend you have your water tested at a local pool store and then add the proper chemical treatment to KILL the algae. Here is a link to How to Clean a Green Swimming Pool (Algae) that may help you.
