My model is a CV580 - this says for the CL - is it the same cartridge? Will it work in the CV580?

According to the manual for the Jandy Cartridge Pool Filters , The CL and CV are the same as far as cartridges go. The difference is the way they are plumbed in.

No, this cartridge is meant for the Jandy CV or CL Series 580. If you are trying to replace a Hayward CX580RE, you will need the Pureline Cartridge for Hayward C3025 & C3020 (PA81) - PL0104
