Where I live, the sun shines a lot and we see very little winter weather. My back yard has very few trees and I've never used a winter cover in the 11 years I've had my pool. Can I keep my solar cover on my pool during the winter months?

If you live in a non freezing climate and don't close the pool, you can certainly leave the solar blanket on the pool.You want to make certain to remove the cover should the weather reaches freezing temperatures.

The warranty covers the shipping cost for a replacement blanket only for the first 8 months.The warranty for this solar blanket is through Midwest Canvas.

Will it matter if your pool is odd shaped, just needing the longest length and width to calculate the side of blanket needed

Hi Barry, That is correct, you will need to measure the longest and widest part of the pool. Then you will cut it to fit shape of your pool.

Our pool is 16 1/2 X 32 1/2 so the 16' is too narrow and the 18' too wide. What would you suggest....getting the longer and then cutting the edge down (which would expose the bubbles) or using the narrower 16' cover??

Hi Kathryn, This cover can work with your size pool. In order for a cover to be effective 80% of the pool has to be covered, but it you want to cover 100% then you will have to get the 18' x 36' Cover - SC-CL-000344.

Pros: Strong Heavy Duty cover
Cons: Bubbles appear to be poped
Because the bubbles are not round, when the cover folds under, it sticks together. This makes it more difficult to cover the pool.

Absolutely horrible, do not purchase! This cover supposedly comes with a 10 year warranty. After 2 short swimming seasons, the cover began to break down and disintegrate. When contacted, the company offered a prorated replacement for the same amount that I originally purchased the cover for. I would not purchase the same brand ever again!
