Clear Supreme Solar Blanket
Use our new Clear solar blankets to heat your pool faster. Our solar blankets are laced with air bubbles that act as an insulating layer, shielding your swimming pool from cool winds and nighttime cooling (for installation, the blanket goes bubble side down.) In addition, our clear blankets allow more solar heat to reach the depths of your pool and heat it thoroughly. Our blankets are made of extra-thick 16 MIL material so they will outlast most other above-ground blankets on the market. They are backed by a 10-Year Warranty. Invest in the solar blanket that will give you the best heating you can buy.

I have an odd shaped pool (picture, roughly, a rectangular pool with a roundish 3'x8' bump out on one end). I won't be able to physically fit a reel to match the widest part of my pool. I would have to get a reel that's about 3' shorter than the greatest width of my pool. So what I'm wondering is if it would be OK to fold a portion of this cover while I'm reeling it in? I figure that since the cover is meant to be folded for storage that it would be OK. What do you think?

Hi. Yes, you're able to fold the cover for that contour side, then reel it in.

I AM INTERESTED IN THE SOLAR COVER BUT WONDERING HOW IT STANDS UP TO PINE NEEDLES AND LEAVES? I HAVE A LOT OF PINE TREES NEAR MY POOL AND NEED A POOL COVER BUT WOULD ALSO LIKE A SOLAR COVER TO HELP WITH HEATING THE POOL. CAN THIS FUNCTION AS BOTH?

Erica, the 24' x 40' Rect. Clear Supreme Solar Cover, 16 Mil is thicker than most standard solar covers. The added thickness means that it will be harder for those pine needles and leaves to penetrate the material. We do not have a lot of feedback regarding this specific issue, but based on what I know about the thickness and the quality of the cover you should not have a problem.

I live in a very windy area, what keeps the solar cover in place?
Reply
Hi, Don. Gravity is what keeps the cover in place while it lays on the water. There is nothing to keep the cover in place in place in a high wind environment. You will have to weigh it down without it being submerged to keep it in place.

This is a high quality solar blanket. I have not used the clear style before, but I am sure it will perform just as INYO says it will!
