  2. Add 4lbs (or required amount) of PHOSfloc to a large bucket of water and mix - If your pool has a recirculation (filter bypass) setting, add PHOSfloc/water mixture slowly to skimmer and allow water to circulate for 1-2 hours - DO NOT add directly to filter
  3. Turn system off and allow PHOSfloc to settle (this may take up to 12 hours)
  4. Vacuum sediment to waste * DO NOT VACUUM TO FILTER* OR 1a. If no circulation (filter bypass) setting is available, add 4lbs of PHOSfloc to a large bucket of water and mix 2a. With filter system off, broadcast this mixture over the water while walking around the pool 3a. Allow PHOSfloc to settle (this may take up to 12 hours) 4a. Vacuum sediment to waste *DO NOT VACUUM TO FILTER*
  5. Important: it is necessary to further reduce phosphate level to near zero by using PHOSfree or Pool Magic+PHOSfree
  6. Maintain phosphate levels all season long with Pool Perfect+PHOSfree, for easy weekly maintenance

Tips:

  • If PHOSfloc does not floc within 12 hours, adjust pH to 6.8

What if I can't get all the phosfloc out of the pool? is it harmful to people?

I apologize for the delayed response. Yes, it is safe to swim with that in the water. If it is taking a while to collect it all up it is just because you had a lot of phosphates in the water and most time your filter can't handle it all at once so you will have to clean your filter multiple times until all of it clears up.

What if you don't have any way to vacuum without going to filter...are there any other solutions or procedures?

Hi, Jaime. You will not be able to use this product. You can use a traditional Pool Water Clarifier

I have a saltware pool with total dissolved solids about 4000 ppm (or 4ppK). Does netting out the salt suggests I don't need to worry about phosphates? Very little exposure to chemical fertilizers?

Simply put, total dissolved solids are pretty much anything in your pool (including chemicals, dust, pollen, etc.) that dissolves into the water. Everything you add increases the TDS. If this level is too high, it can disturb the efficiency and effectiveness of your other chemicals. The TDS level should not exceed 3000ppm. You will need to dilute levels in the pool by draining and adding water, please see How To Drain an In-Ground Pool We offer Phosphates In Your Swimming Pool for more help to address them.
